10 Signs that He is bad for you

Fresh out of high school I dated this guy. He was so proud, insecure, unreasonable, immature and well, the list is endless. Deep down I knew he was bad for me but for some reason that I can’t really comprehend I stuck around and it wasn’t pretty.

Just an endless cycle of Drama that sucked the energy right out of me. He was everything that I wouldn’t want in a man and I don’t regret ending it with him. I actually feel sorry for him because with such an attitude he might end up alone, sad and miserable, no one wants that at least not me.

I was young and it was my first relationship so I really had no idea what love is, or what it means to be in a relationship with someone. A few years later, am still learning and am glad my experiences have taught me a lot, can’t say that I know everything though. Here are some of the signs that I ignored thinking that I was ‘in love’ and that I was fighting for what I want;

1. You feel the need to change yourself 
2. He doesn’t tell anyone about you
3. He doesn’t know how to comfort you
4. He doesn’t check up on you the next day when you tell him you’re sick
5. He makes you feel bad about being yourself
6. He Puts your dreams down
7. Refuses to apologise when you have a Fight
8. He Belittles your fears
9. He is always trying to prove he's smarter than you.
10. Does not stand up for you

Don’t overlook these signs in the hope that things will change or he is just human or you think you are being petty,there is only so much that anyone can take.

If you are a great woman and you know it, don’t compromise, don’t settle for less, and don’t think that he is the best you have ever had because he is not. Accept that he is not good for you and move on before it’s too late.
