1. Maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Regular exercise, eating healthy meals whilst drinking plenty of water will
help you in maintaining a healthy weight, prevent chronic diseases and ultimately
make you feel good about yourself. When you feel good in the inside, you will
look good on the inside and be more confident.
2. Build and maintain strong
relations with your Friends and Family
Friends and family form a support system that you can always count on during
the hardest of times. It is therefore important for you to stay in touch and
spend time with them as much as you can.
3. Read relevant books and set Realistic Goals
The importance of reading relevant books cannot be over emphasized. Read a
book every day. Books have wisdom and knowledge which can help you improve and
become creative in your own unique way. So read as much as you can but don’t forget
to set realistic goals and focus on achieving them, this will give you a
purpose in life.
4. Get out of your comfort zone
Life begins at the end of your comfort zone therefore do not be afraid to
step out of it no matter how scared you are, because being scared is a sign
that you are about to do something brave. So face your fears and dare to do
that which you are afraid of and see just how good it feels. The worst that can
happen is that you will learn from the experience whether good or bad
5. Avoid negative people
Surrounding yourself with negative people drains your energy. They literally
just bring you down no matter how strong and positive you might think you are.
It is best to avoid such people and be with the ones who make you feel like you
can move mountains.
6. Commit to your personal improvement
Endeavour to be fully committed to your self-improvement journey. You might
be slow but steady which is all that matters. Take one day at a time but make
sure to be consistent and persistent
7. Get rid of your bad habits
It is not as easy as it sounds. Getting rid of bad habits and replacing them
with good ones takes time but it’s totally worth it. At the end of the day you
will be able to have good relationships with those who are around you.
8. Stay true to yourself
If you can’t change something change the way you think about it and most
importantly accept that which you cannot change. Acknowledge your strengths and
work on your weaknesses. This will give inner peace and contentment.
9. Take charge of your life
You always have a choice. You have the right to choose that which you feel
is good/right for you. You can choose to decide not to let other people’s
opinion of you cloud your judgement. You can choose to be happy by focusing on
the good things in life. The list is endless. Make the right choice by taking
charge of your life.
10. Develop a great morning routine
Try waking up early say 5:00 am, Stretch and exercise for a few minutes. Instead
of looking at your emails and worrying about how the day will be, be grateful
for everything that has worked out so far. Read something motivational or
meditate then get ready for work. This routine works wonders at least it has
for me.
11. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
Finally don’t be too hard on yourself let things flow naturally the way they
should. Take the much-needed breaks. Do not be so fixated on something so much
so that you become desperate and miserable. Hope for the best and learn to let
go sometimes especially when you have done all that you are required to do.
